Laura has grown up playing tennis from a relatively young age after picking up a tennis racquet at the age of 14. After playing a range of team sports, Laura transitioned to tennis after enjoying the individuality of the game and has loved it ever since. Laura played local competitions then moved to Australian Ranking Tournaments, playing junior & AMT events. At the age of 15, Laura came to SWTC and was coached by our head coach Ryan for 4 years. Together they were able to achieve her goal of being the best tennis player she can be, which opened the opportunity for her to study & play college tennis in America at Belmont Abbey College. While playing tennis for Belmont Abbey she also coached tennis and got an undergraduate degree in psychology. She did courses in sports psychology and is very passionate about helping athletes mental game to perform at their top level.
We are so excited to have Laura back on the SWTC team this time as a coach. We know from her experiences at college tennis she will have a lot to add to the SWTC team and pass as much knowledge onto our players.
